"IN AFFECTIONATE REMEMBRANCE OF FANNY, THE WIFE OF JAMES EVANS. Who Departed this Life DECEMBER the 29th, 1868, In the Twenty-fifth year of her Age.
How much she suffered, Heaven knows;
But now she's free from all her woes:
She's passed through Jordan's swelling flood,
And landed safe with Christ her God."
Fanny was born in Algarkirk Fen in 1843, son of Edward and Frances Catlin. In 1851 they were living at Claydike Bankside. In 1861 the family lived close to William Flatters and his wife Derrinder Hudson Flatters. She married James Eason Evans in 1864.

He was a widower at the time of the 1871 census. The Edgoose family connection is unknown.
