WHO: Son of Ruth EDGOOSE (1841-1910). The name of his father is unknown.
WHAT: Invoice for coal addressed to the Executors of J. S. BATTERHAM.
NOTES & QUERIES: According to the census of 1881, 1891, and 1901, John Stanton BATTERHAM (1857-1929) was described as a coal merchant. In 1911 he was described as a fruit grower. He died aged 71 on 29 March 1929. Later research has shown that he was the executor of the wills of William Frederick EDGOOSE and James Lewin EDGOOSE (1838-1906).
