Elias was described as a farmer living in a wooden house owned by Mr. STUBBS. The family consisted of 7 persons: one adult male and one adult female aged between 21 and 45, and 5 males and 1 female aged between 2 and 7 years. Three of the male children were stated to have been born in the colony. Their religion was Church of England.
