The birth of a William J. SYLVESTER was registered in 1910. According to his death registration he was born on 11 December 1910 which is inconsistent with the date of registration.

William Edwin SYLVESTER, head, married, aged 26, barber, born in Grimsby;
Florrie SYLVESTER, wife, married 1 year, born in Grimsby;
*William Joseph SYLVESTER, son, aged 6 months (sic), born in Grimsby.

William Joseph SYLVESTER, a 38 year old bachelor, labourer, of Victor Street, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, and son of William Edwin SYLVESTER, pensioner, married Gladys Margaret EDGOOSE, a 32 year spinster of Victor Street, Grimsby, and daughter of Bertram Horace EDGOOSE, firewood merchant, at St. Luke's, Grimsby, on 1 September 1949. Witnesses were B. H. EDGOOSE and R. SYLVESTER.
