NOTES & QUERIES:
Caroline SCOTT late STEBBINS formerly BACON, widow of Joseph SCOTT 1796-1856, was Sarah L. EDGOOSE's mother.
According to an IGI patron submission a John EDGOOSE married Sarah CARDINE in New York in 1858. John's place and date of birth is said to be New York in 1821 and Sarah's New York in 1833. Another IGI patron submission has John EDGOOSE of Massachusetts born about 1825. None of this information has been verified, it is not supported by entries in the US Federal Censuses, nor does the IGI give any details of the source. It would appear to be fanciful and confused.
