      Stanton John EDGOOSE had married Margaret DAWSON at Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, on 16 January 1872.

      She had an illegitimate son Bertie Horace EDGOOSE at West Walton on 8 December 1893 at the age of 15.

      She married Alfred CHEANEY at Leicester Register Office on 28 January 1899. Alfred CHEANEY was a 22 year old general porter of 9 Haddon Street, Leicester, and son of engine stoker George William CHEANEY. Hilda MARY's address was 35 Hughenden Drive, Leicester. Witnesses were Thomas NEWBY and Lucy NEWBY. According to the Burgess List of 1898-99 No. 9 Haddon Street was the address of George William CHENEY.

      She died at 35 Hughenden Drive, Leicester, on 31 January 1900 aged 21. She was described as the wife of Alfred CHEANEY a draper's porter. A. CHEANEY, widower of the deceased, of 35 Hughenden Drive, Leicester, was present when she died. Cause of death was tubercular meningitis and exhaustion.

      According to the 1901 census returns her husband Alfred CHEANEY was a widower living with his parents and brother at 91 Twycross Street, Leicester.
