      Graham Thomas EDGOOSE was born on 13 January 1920, son of Halbert and Mary EDGOOSE.

      Halbert EDGOOSE had married Mary SHARP at Emneth, Norfolk, in 1913.

      "Graham Thomas EDGOOSE (19) a Post Office employee, of Long Sutton, was fined 5 and his licence was endorsed, at Wisbech police court, for driving a car without due care and attention at Wisbech on December 28, EDGOOSE knocked a Wisbech postman off his cycle."

      He was appointed sorting clerk and telegraphist (North Midland District) after limited competition in April 1939.

      He was living at Long Sutton Post Office in Lincolnshire in 1942 and was with his mother when she died.

      He joined the Royal Navy in the Second World War and eventually became a sub-lieutenant.

      He married Bridget Mary BATES by licence at Long Sutton Parish Church, Lincolnshire, on 29 June 1943. He was described as a 23 year old bachelor of High Street, Long Sutton, serving in the Royal Navy. Bridget was a 21 year old spinster of High Street, Long Sutton, serving in the ATS. Witnesses were Alec WILLIAMSON, Leah Mary BATES, and Halbert EDGOOSE.

      In the 1960's he worked for Elloe Rural District Council, Lincolnshire.

      He was described as a local government officer when he witnessed the marriage of his daughter Judith Mary EDGOOSE to Alfred John ARMITAGE at Scraptoft, Leicestershire, on 14 December 1968.

      He was living at The Beeches, 16 Langwith Drive, Holbeach, Lincolnshire, when probate of his father's will was granted on 17 March 1976.

      He died on 12 November 2001.
