      Lucinda EDGOOSE was born at West Walton, Norfolk, on 12 May 1871, daughter of James Lewin and Emily EDGOOSE.

      James Lewin EDGOOSE had married Emily WILLIAMSON on 13 October 1864.

      According to the 1881 census returns for Dam Road, West Walton, she was a 9 year old scholar:

      The house that the RACEYs owned was originally the stable block to the great house, Hagbeach Hall, which was demolished in the 1700s.

      She married William Thomas RACEY, an Emneth baker, at West Walton, Norfolk, on 26 December 1893. James Lewin EDGOOSE and Elizabeth Maud RACEY were witnesses.

      Their daughter Gladys Miriam RACEY was born in 1898.

      She died aged 35 at Emneth of 'carcinoma of the oesophagus 1 year' and exhaustion on 24 January 1907.

      She was buried in the graveyard at Emneth, Norfolk, on 31 January.

      The inscription on her gravestone reads:
