      James Lewin EDGOOSE had married Emily WILLIAMSON at Walpole St. Andrew on 13 October 1864.

      John Lewin EDGOOSE, described as a 31 year old West Walton gardener, married Ellen Jane BENNETT, spinster, the 28 year old daughter of William BENNETT, labourer, at Northwold Parish Church on 16 August 1906. Witnesses were Alicia Rebecca BENNETT, Robert James EDGOOSE, and Anna DYE.

      He was in the choir at West Walton Parish Church and was sexton in 1909. He officiated at the burial of Sydney George YOUNGMAN on 2 April 1909. According to Phyllis ALLEN nee EDGOOSE he was sexton, bell ringer, choir member and general helper for many years.

      He was a postman for two years shortly before World War 2, probably in 1936-37.
