      George MILES, aged 16, carpenter, born in Surrey;
      Mary MILES, aged 11, born in Scotland.

      William MILES, widower, and Jane STEVENS, widow, were married at Bethnal Green Parish Church on 10 January 1842. William was described as a carpenter of 7 Providence Place, Bethnal Green, Middlesex, son of Joseph Miles, farmer. Jane STEVENS of 7 Providence Place, Bethnal Green, was the daughter of Henry SHORTER, farmer. Both bride and groom were said to be of full age. Witnesses were Jane YESLEY and John Samuel AMES.

Letters of Administration of the Personal estate and effects of William MILES late of Send in the County of Surrey Labourer a Widower deceased who died 12 June 1851 at Send aforesaid were granted at the Principal Registry to Mary STRASENBURGH (Wife of Robert STRASENBURGH, Innkeeper) of the "Railway" Hotel Trinity in the City of Edinburgh the only Child of the said Deceased she having been first sworn.
