Frederick James, son of James and Daisy EDGOOSE of Swinton Cottages, Gosberton, Lincolnshire, was born on 15 July 1921 and baptised at Gosberton on 25 June 1922. His father was described as a farrier.

James EDGOOSE had married Daisy LAMBLEY at Kirton-in-Holland, Lincolnshire, in 1912.
Frederick James EDGOOSE, a 25 year old unmarried agricultural worker from Churchfleet Lane , Gosberton, Lincolnshire, and son of James EDGOOSE deceased, blacksmith, married nineteen year old spinster Freda PALMER from Cemetery Road, Gosberton, the daughter of Charles William Palmer, yardman, on 21 December 1946 at Gosberton Parish Church. Witnesses were Harold PALMER, Charles W. PALMER, and Janet EDGOOSE.

They had three children: a daughter born in 1947, a son Denis EDGOOSE (1950-1958), and a second son in 1954.
He witnessed the wedding of his daughter at Gosberton, Lincolnshire, on 21 October 1967 and was described as a Holland County Council employee.
In 1968 he was living at the Whitehall Estate, Gosberton.
Frederick James EDGOOSE died on 28 May 1988 at Pilgrim Hospital, Fishtoft, Lincolnshire. He was an Engineer (Retired) who lived at Churchfleet Lane, Gosberton, Spalding. His son P. EDGOOSE informed the Registrar on 31 May 1988. Cause of death was (Ia) Cardiorespiratory Failure and I(b) malnutricion from malabsorbtion - from Post-Mortem.
