FRANK WILLIAM DAWSON EDGOOSE (1882-1951)

He was buried in Quinton Cemetery near Birmingham, Warwickshire, on 24 December 1951.
His wife Emma (1877-1957) joined him in 1957.
There daughter Doris Malisande Edgoose (108-2003) was buried in the same gave in 2003. The gravestone was replaced at this time.

The Reverend Jesse Edgoose (1813-1856).
An historic photograph of St. Oswald's Churchyard, Fulford, York, before the gravestones were cleared and aligned along the perimeter walls. The church is now (2017) a private house. Michael Edgoose's first wife is standing by Jesse Edgoose's grave.

An original photograph of his newly erected gravestone.
"Joel EDGOOSE of Algarkirk Fen" was buried at Algarkirk on 28 December aged 80. In 1968 his tombstone was still standing against the churchyard wall.

He was buried on 16 April 1749.

The second of the two gravestones side by side just off the path leading to the church door:
An Elizabeth EDGOOSE, widow, was buried at Gosberton on 21 April 1756 aged 59. An inscription on a tombstone in Gosberton Churchyard says that she died on 18 April 1757 (sic) aged 59. John EDGOOSE, householder, had been buried at Gosberton on 16 April 1749 at the age of 65.

The only photograph in existence of the gravestone of John Edgoose (1732-1781) taken in 1968. The lettering had been completely destroyed by acid rain on my next visit to Gosberton Churchyard in 1999. There were two Edgoose gravestones side by side not far from the path by the church door.

The name Stanton Charles Edgoose (1880-1917), who was gassed in the trenches of northwest France in 1917, appears on the War Memorial of West Walton Cemetery in Norfolk. Several other names are of descendants of those with whom there may have been a family connection in the past: Fulcher, Harnwell, Hubbard, Moules and Webb.
