- ANNIE PATCHETT 1864 or 1866-1904
The registration of Annie PATCHETT's birth in Leake or Old Leake between 1864 and 1866 has not been traced in the GRO indexes for the Boston Registration District in Lincolnshire. The only possible registration in Lincolnshire is in Grantham Registration District. I have found no evidence that her baptismal name was Marie Ann or that she was born on 15 April 1865 in Spilsby, Yorkshire. Spilsby is I believe in Lincolnshire and was perhaps being confused with a different Lincolnshire place named Sibsey. The evidence of the 1871, 1881, 1891, and 1901 census records, as well as her marriage and death registrations, is difficult to refute.
The 1871 census of Simon House, Leake, Lincolnshire:
Jessy CAUDWELL, head, aged 24, unmarried, born at Frithville, Lincolnshire;
George PATCHETT, servant, aged 39, agricultural labourer, born at Frithville;
Elizabeth PATCHETT, wife, aged 38, housekeeper, born at Sibsey, Lincolnshire;
Mary PATCHETT, daughter, aged 17, born at Revesby, Lincolnshire;
Sarah A. PATCHETT, daughter, aged 12, born at Revesby, Lincolnshire;
*Annie PATCHETT, daughter, aged 6, born at Leake, Lincolnshire (i.e. born 1864-1865);
William BURROW, servant, aged 23, waggoner, born at Tattershall, Lincolnshire.
(RG10/3336/4/2)
The 1881 census of Kirton Drove (Nth), Kirton, Lincolnshire:
George PATCHETT, head, aged 46, foreman - agricultural labourer, born at Sipsey (sic), Lincolnshire;
*Anne PATCHETT, daughter, aged 17, housekeeper, born at Old Leake, Lincolnshire (i.e. born 1863-1864);
William HUTTON, servant, aged 21, agricultural servant, born New York;
George BLANDHARD, servant, aged 20, agricultural servant, born at Fosdyke Fen, Lincolnshire.
(RG11/3220/130/10)
James William CRAFT married Annie Patchett at the Parish Church, Sheffield, Yorkshire, on 19 October 1890. James William CRAFT was 25 years old, a bachelor, from 206 Saville Street East, Sheffield, and working as a drayman, son of John CRAFT deceased, labourer. Annie PATCHETT was a 25 year old spinster of 82 Liverpool Street, Sheffield. Witnesses were Adam PRINGLE and Alice CRAFT.

*Annie CROFT (sic), wife, aged 25, born at Leake, Lincolnshire (i.e. born 1865-1866).

The 1901 census returns for 57 Chester Street, Sheffield, Yorkshire:

Their three children died in 1901.
The death of Annie CRAFT aged 39 was registered in 1904 (i.e. born 1864-1865).
